The purpose is to remove excess mucus due to congestion. You can rid the nostrils of pollen and other allergens. It will cleanse the nasal membranes of dust, smoke, or other airborne contaminants. This will relieve nasal dryness due to air travel. You can also improve flow of breath before doing relaxation techniques. Remember a nasal wash Neti Pot is not a substitute for medical treatment. Directions on using a Neti Pot
To use Neti Pot, simply fill it with your prepared saline solution, turn your head slightly to the side, and insert the spout into the upper nostril. Raise the Neti Pot slowly so the saline solution flows into the nose and out the lower nostril. It's easy!
